SURPLUS DECLARED BY VERIZON
On September 5, 2007 this Local received notification from Verizon that a surplus was declared in the following 2213 titles - 1 Administrative Assistant in FAA 3 (midstate), 3 Special Assistants, and 3 Administrative Assistants in FAA 4 (northeast) and 2 Administrative Assistants in FAA 6 (western). This surplus was determined by the company to be a process change. An Enhanced Income Protection (EIPP) will be offered to those titles affected by September 13, 2007. If you choose to accept the offer the written transmittal must be received by the company by September 27, 2007. The off-payroll date for employees who accept the offer will be October 7, 2007.
