Dear DCRF Participants:
We are writing to infor you of the current status of the funding level of Verizon's Dependent Care Reimbursement Fund (DCRF). As required by the collective bargaining agreements between Verizon, CWA, and IBEW 2213, in August of each year $1.65 million dollars become available for work and family initiatives. Over the years the vast majority of these monies have been used to reimburse eligible Union and management participants for some of there dependent care expenses. The reimbursement is provided as long as the funds are available.
We anticipate that the DCRF reimbursement will be suspended in May of this year
Since there will be no re-funding of the DCRF untill August 2010, this suspension of reimbursement unfortunately means there will be no summer program reimbursement this year. We strongly suggest you take this into consideration when making your summer dependent care arrangements.
