March 29, 2010 an agreement for an enhanced voluntary termination has not been reached at this time. Our joint IBEW/CWA Bargaining committee and Verizon have agreed to meet at CWA Dist 1 headquarters in NY on Tues. March 30 to continue discussion. Verizon is obligated to meet their contractual obligations regarding a surplus declaration and an EIPP offer. We will keep you updated via the tape. This Local has filed charges with the National Labor Relations Board regarding Verizon unilaterally taking away overtime. The Company is also obligated to follow our Collective Bargaining Agreement (Article 37).We will keep you updated.
